About SnapFrom
SnapFrom is a blog. The subject is the layer below the page: how media is encoded and delivered, what the code running inside a browser can observe while it renders, and what each of those costs the person on the other end.
What you can expect here
- Claims are sourced. Every number, benchmark or statement about platform behaviour cites the organisation that published it, and says which claim the source supports.
- Costs are named. A technique that degrades quality, leaks more than it needs to, or stops working when a vendor changes its mind gets told to you in the article that describes it.
- No AI-generated images, and no undisclosed paid links. Where a page mentions something we own or were paid for, it says so on that page.
